Whelping & Raising our Babies:

The first few weeks of life, our puppies are handled on a limited basis so the mother can do

her job to her best ability.  The pups are inspected daily to make sure they are growing well

and have not developed any problems in the last 24 hours.  At about 3 weeks we begin to

cuddle them individually and shower them with affection.  This helps them become more

independent from mother and their littermates.  At about 5 weeks my children begin to play

with them both individually and as a group to promote stimulation and encourage their

enjoyment of fraternizing with people.  At 6 weeks old, they are all weaned and eating good

quality dog food.  They are taken out to play with my children each day in the grass and given

a bath frequently.  Puppies typically get their first haircut at 4-5 weeks old. Before long

they will begin to develop unique personalities and they love the attention. Soon they will

follow you everywhere you go.  They will enjoy rolling around in the grass playing with their

littermates.

All of our dogs and their puppies are raised in our home, we do not have a “kennel” for the

schnauzers to live in.  They have the same comforts as we do.  We are “casual” breeders.

We do not produce many litters each year.  This is just a hobby for us because we love the

breed and wish to share the joy they bring with others.

Puppy Transportation:

Most of our babies are adopted locally and may be picked up in person when scheduled in

advance.  In some circumstances we will make arrangements to meet the adopting family

at an agreed upon location which may result in an additional fee.  If needed we will ship one

of our puppies to individuals who are not within a fair driving distance from our home if paid

for in advance of the flight.  Please see the link labeled "Buying a Puppy" for additional

information.

Adoption Fees & Payments:

The adoption fees for our babies are listed with the details of each litter.  Prices will vary

dependent on size, color, registration and gender of the puppy. All of our pricing is based

on "pet" pricing.  This means the puppy will be sold under a spay/neuter contract and

reproduction will not be allowed.  If someone wishes to obtain breeding rights to their puppy,

an additional fee will be charged after "breeder" qualifications are met.  We want to ensure

that our babies will be taken into the healthiest environment possible with responsible breeders.

All payment transactions must be in the form of CASH or Credit Card.  Credit card payments

are accepted through the online Pay Pal system and will require an additional 3.5% fee.

WE NO LONGER ACCEPT CHECKS.  A minimum deposit of 50% of the listed price is required

to hold a puppy in your name.  The final payment is due before the puppy is 7 weeks old.

The deposit is fully refundable until the puppy reaches 6 weeks of age.  After the puppy

becomes six weeks old the deposit is non-refundable.  Puppies are eligible to go to their new

homes at the 7 week mark if local and at the 8 week mark if being shipped. Please see the link

labeled "Buying a Puppy" for additional information.
